Dear friends and family,
After enduring five hours on a gurney, basically strapped in the bed of a pickup truck, by the grace of God I made it home. As you can imagine, this trip took quite a bit out of me. Kendra and our families plan on taking some time to recharge our batteries and learn about what our new normal looks like. We understand many of you have a strong desire to connect with us, but we would like to get through the next VERY busy few days and then see what next week looks like. Thank you so much for your cards, emails, and encouraging comments. We are blessed.

I wish it was a breezy, warm, summer day in August where you could just rest on your favorite hillside near the ranch...where you could just rest.

1 The Lord is my shepherd;

Father,
Thank you for allowing Ryan to come home. Thank you, again, for those who took care of him in Chicago.
In the days ahead, we pray for needed rest, for Ryan and Kendra.
We pray for protection, hope, and continued healing.
Thank you for this Psalm.
Thank you for renewing our strength.
Thank you for walking through the darkest valley with us...we have nothing to be afraid of.
Father, thank you for the assurance that your love pursues us all the days of our lives and giving us the confidence that we will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
We praise you in good times and bad, famine or feast...in sickness or health...we love you with all of our hearts
Thanks, most of all, for the cross, and the blood that was shed by your Son, for all of us...so that we may live, forever, in your kingdom.
